Construction & Building Exhibition Stands
Construction stands that carry real material at real weight and show it as a built detail, not a sample board.
A construction stand is built out of the product itself: stone, ceramic, façade panel or timber sells on a wall, not on a catalogue page. Which produces the one fact that separates this sector from every other — weight. Natural stone cladding on a display wall is measured in tonnes, and neither plasterboard nor a standard stand panel will carry it. A construction stand needs a concealed steel frame behind it, a calculated floor load beneath it, and a real cutaway in front of it showing how the material actually goes up.
On Granitas Yapı's stand at Big 5 Dubai we placed 12 tonnes of natural stone into 64 m². All of it hung on a concealed steel frame the visitor never sees, with floor loading spread against the hall limit. What people walk up to isn't a stand — it's an installed façade.
Not a sample — an installed wall
At a construction fair the buyer is an architect, a contractor or a project manager, and all three are looking for the same thing: how does this material sit on site? A grid of 30×30 samples on a wall doesn't answer that. The answer is a wall built at real height, a visible joint, and where possible a cutaway showing the fixing detail.
On the Granitas project the display walls went up at full height using the actual mounting system, with one corner left open at the back of the stone so the substructure stayed visible. The question visitors asked wasn't "how much?" — it was "who installs this for us?"
Where do 12 tonnes go?
The technical summary of a construction stand is weight, and weight causes trouble in two places: on the wall and on the floor. On the wall the answer is a concealed steel frame — cladding hangs off steel, not panel, and the steel disappears inside the shell. On the floor the answer is load spreading; halls carry a limit per m², and dense cladding exceeds it locally without much effort.
That calculation goes to the organiser for approval 4–6 weeks before the fair. Share material weights and cladding areas and we run the structural work and the correspondence. It's the same approach we take on machinery and industry stands, where the exhibits are just as heavy.
Not shipping a heavy stand home
At Gulf fairs like Big 5, taking the material out from Turkey is unavoidable; bringing it back is not. Return freight on heavy cladding often approaches the value of the material itself. Leave the structural steel and the cladding stored in region and the next edition costs markedly less.
On budget, construction stands run at the top of the band because of their technical density: bespoke work at €350–700 per m², modular at €150–280. The same stand produced in Western Europe means €500–1,500 per m² — that gap is what keeping production in Istanbul is worth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I clad the stand in real stone or ceramic?
Yes. The cladding hangs on a concealed steel frame inside the shell, never on panel. Share material weight and cladding area and we run the structural calculation and spread floor loading against the hall limit.
Will hall floor load limits be a problem?
Halls carry a load limit per m², and dense cladding can exceed it locally. We resolve it with a load-spreading platform and submit the calculation to the organiser 4–6 weeks before the fair.
What does a construction fair stand cost?
Modular builds run €150–280 per m², maxima systems €180–320, and bespoke timber and steel work €350–700. Heavy cladding and concealed framing push toward the upper band.
Do I have to ship the stand home from Gulf fairs?
No. Return freight on heavy cladding is expensive; storing the structure and cladding in region and rebuilding next edition is usually the cheaper route. See examples in our projects.
