Challenge
Granitas' product was heavy and fragile: large-format natural stone slabs. The brief asked for the product itself to become the architecture — demanding structural calculation, a dedicated support system and precision logistics.
Clearing a 12-tonne shipment through Dubai customs on the fair's schedule was the riskiest link in the chain.
Solution
A concealed steel frame carried the slabs like facade cladding, backlit to dramatise the veining. The structural dossier passed DWTC approval first time.
Freight ran combined sea + road, customs managed via ATA carnet and pre-declaration. Materials arrived three days before build-up; the stand was handed over on schedule.
